The Principal

Monae Martin

Monae Martin is a growth and partnership strategist. Her most recent engagement was as a consultant to a national professional sports league, where she worked across all 32 member clubs on partnership strategy, programme design and the systems connecting a national framework to local execution.

That work is where the Seam Model came from. Thirty-two clubs is a large enough sample to see the same failure repeat, and the failure was never in the phases. Clubs knew how to market. They knew how to sell. They knew how to serve. What broke, reliably, was the moment one of those things had to hand off to the next.

That engagement has concluded. Monshore Advisory is the practice built to apply the same method wherever the pattern shows up — and it shows up nearly everywhere, because almost no organisation has assigned the seams an owner.

She works with a deliberately small number of clients at a time. Every engagement is delivered personally; there is no bench and nothing is passed to a junior team.

The Name

Monshore.

A shore is a seam. It is the line where two systems that behave nothing alike are forced to meet, and it is the most consequential piece of any coastline — the part that is surveyed, engineered and defended, because it is the part that fails.

The practice is named for the junction rather than for either side of it. That is the whole argument.

How She Works

Evidence before opinion

Every claim in a Monshore deliverable is traceable to something observed — a number, a transcript, a documented process. Where the evidence is thin, it is labelled thin.

Built to be handed over

The objective is a client who no longer needs the consultant. Frameworks are left behind in a form the internal team can actually run.

Small book, deep attention

A limited number of concurrent engagements, all delivered personally. Capacity is a stated constraint, not a negotiating position.

Plain language

If a finding cannot be explained to the person who has to act on it, it is not finished. Jargon is usually a sign the thinking is incomplete.
